Colombia El Rosal form Boil Line Coffee Co

origin: Sevilla, Colombia
price: $16.50
tasting: 1/31/18
This coffee made a short trip from the banks of the Susquehanna to the banks of the Allegheny. Boil Line Coffee is a craft roaster specializing in sweet craft coffees. These particular beans come from a mile up the Andes Mountains in Western Colombia.
This is a single origin, that as an espresso creates a beautiful crema. As far as single origin espressos go, this one has to be near the top, it’s super sweet, with the classic bitterness, and even notes of honey. If you enjoy sweet espressos this one is for you.
Espresso Rating – 90pts.
As a coffee it’s rare to see a Colombian Coffee with this much acidity and tartness. It’s lighter, sweeter, fruitier, than you can believe and even has honey and peach notes. It might have too many flavors going on to create a nice balance. This is one of those coffees that really depends on your own tastes and preferences.
Coffee Rating – 85pts.

About our ratings – For both ratings (espresso & pour over) we’re looking at the flavor profile, along with drink-ability and balance. Reviewing the coffee as the espresso gives us extra insights into the nuanced flavors of the beans.
