This coffee is from a small, but growing coffee roaster in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania, who just opened a new shop in the city’s North Side. The original Commonplace Coffee is in Indiana Pa, right off the campus of IUP. The owner actually set us up with our espresso equipment, and we do like them a lot, but we won’t be bias in our rating. This blend is one of their most popular roasts, and it’s used for espresso drinks in many local coffeeshops. The origin of this coffee is unknown, but the packing does tell us it’s a blend of coffees. The espresso is super smooth, one of the smoothest we’ve tasted, best described as buttery chocolate. Yet the espresso is extremely light on the tongue.
