Earth Bean Coffee is a coffee company that specializes in fair trade organic coffees. It’s a great story of a couple who wanted to create organic coffees, that could be enjoyed black. They got into coffee because they wanted to have a positive impact, a story not much different than ours. They plant a tree for every bag purchased, and even the bags are bio-degradable, to keep all chemicals away from your beans.

This coffee is grown at high altitude in western Colombia. This is another single origin coffee that is ideally suited for pour over or drip coffee. It’s really dark roasted, especially compared to most of the coffees we review. As an espresso there is a quick hint of apple, then a longer chocolate note with a pretty rich and earthy finish for an espresso.

Espresso Rating – 85pts

This is a single origin coffee that would be liked by many coffee drinkers. One of their goals was to create non-bitter coffees that people could enjoy black. As a coffee you get more chocolate notes. No acid with these bean, they’re smooth on the finish.
