Imineti Blend from Purefi Coffee Roasters
roaster: Purefi Coffee Roasters; Spring, TX
origin: Ethiopia, Columbia, Honduras
Purefi is small but passionate team of coffee enthusiasts from Spring Texas. Puréfi was lunched in April 2017 just like Ispirare. They donate $1 from every bag to organizations committed to enriching the lives of those less fortunate. The three organizations Purefi gave to last year were Operation Smile, The Joyride Therapeutic Center, and Grounds for Health. These are three outstanding organizations committed to enriching the lives of those less fortunate. Which of course we think is awesome. Their hope is to lead, to help, and to spread goodness through the pursuit of a delicious and unique cup of coffee.
This is a medium roast coffee, that as an espresso has a nice creamy butterscotch flavor with a kick of sweetness on the finish.
Espresso Rating – 88pts.
“Imineti” is Ethiopian for “faith” and this is a remarkably consistent coffee, would be a favorite of many coffee drinkers. For only $14 this coffee represents a great value. Even through this is a medium roast it has an almost dark roast flavor. This coffee is a blend of beans from three different countries, and the beans work really well together. We actually don’t see many beans from Honduras, so we were excited to try this coffee. We taste caramel, and with a nice smooth but strong finish. You’ll also get some notes of chocolate, and little fruit flavor.
Coffee Rating – 88pts.
Special thanks to Chris from Purefi for the coffee, visit them at www.pureficoffee.com.
About our ratings – For both ratings (espresso & pour over) we’re looking at the flavor profile, along with drink-ability and balance. Reviewing the coffee as the espresso gives us extra insights into the nuanced flavors of the beans.
